I Don't get the UAW
I DONT GET IT.
Is the UAW insane? I mean, GM is not financially stable as a company. In 2005 they were hemorrhaging money. They still lost 85 million dollars last year. This year showed promise, until profits dropped 90% in March, May, and September. And the UAW is on strike? GM has already slipped from over 50% of the market share to just 19.2%! Yeah, going on strike and not manufacturing cars is going to increase that percentage.
Finally settling on not literally raping GM for retiree & medical benefits, the UAW says:
“Now we need to make some quality cars and take back market share from those foreign auto makers,” UAW Local 22 President George McGregor said.
Maybe they should have been doing that all along.
